Roads to Vexation

An eagle's eye would give a vastly impressive view of the massive road development underway in various parts of Pune esp. Kothrud (part of which I am a resident).
Sadly, we do not take the eagle's flight back home. We have to crusade through on these very roads.
A bulk of the connecting framework (i.e roads, lanes, by-lanes) are slated to be renewed in a matter of weeks.Road elevation, permanent evasive measures against water-logging etc. all seem a part of the blue-print.

However, there lies an indisputable oversight. If the development is solely for the people, their likely plight should have unfailingly been taken into consideration right at its nascency.
In Mayur Colony, very few stretches lie undug as we speak.
In a nutshell, all streets have been dug in the same breath, and this situation complemented by the routine traffic snarls, coupled with the unchecked influx of two & four wheelers on the even narrower roads proves to be the govt. sponsored incubus of the year.
Simply put, a few measures should have been in place to ensure convenience for vehicles: at least one route connecting major roads should have been left to let traffic crawl out in a relatively smoother flow / the digging of roads could have been carried out in a phased manner / demarcation of pit-falls can still be done to minimize hazards.
The intentions may very well be noble, the cry stands the administration should not ensure our worse transit today in the name of a planned better for tomorrow.
As a footnote, allow me to say that the streets particularly in the polishing stage exude an expectancy longer than the others witnessed around here, but our hope is that our wait won't be on similar lines.
